The customer sought an automated solution to manage the organization and the grants, including organization creation and award creation. The system had multiple organizations, and each organization could manage grant awards, allocate budgets, track expenses, and generate reports using the system. To ensure the fulfillment of these objectives, Hexaa's tech experts collaborated closely with the customer. Within this partnership, Hexaa took charge of comprehensive business analysis, evaluated future tech needs, and delivered top-tier grant management software development services.

In our multi-tenant system, safeguarding the confidentiality of grant awards is paramount. We implemented a robust roles and permissions-based architecture to achieve this, allowing selective access to authorized personnel while maintaining stringent security measures. This approach ensures that sensitive information remains accessible only to designated individuals, bolstering the system's integrity. Moreover, recognizing the volume and importance of files and legal documents associated with grants, we integrated Cloudinary, a trusted third-party service. Leveraging Cloudinary's advanced storage capabilities, we securely store and manage our extensive repository of documents, ensuring seamless accessibility and data integrity. This strategic partnership enhances efficiency by centralizing document management, streamlining workflows, and mitigating the risks associated with local storage solutions. By adopting these measures, we not only fortify the security posture of our system but also optimize operational efficiency, enabling smoother collaboration and adherence to regulatory requirements. App Functionality:

Organization Portals

Capability for organizations to sign up. Once registered, they are redirected to their respective portals. Organizations have access to manage their users and grant awards, allocate budgets for grant awards, and track expenses, generate different types of reports.

Multi-Tenancy

This functionality is designed to support multiple organizations within a single platform. It allows organizations to create and manage users and the grant awards with its own data set. This feature ensures data separation, user access control, and customization options for different organizations using the application. It is particularly valuable in scenarios where various entities or businesses share a common application but require distinct environments for their operations and data management.

Role-based Access

Ability to assign and manage specific roles and permissions for Organizations and their awards. Each user of the Organization can be designated with various roles, each with its own set of privileges and restrictions. This feature allows for more granular control over who can access and modify different sections or features within the application, enhancing security and administrative flexibility.

Adding Awards

This functionality allows administrators or organization users to create new awards within the system. This includes specifying award details such as dates, amounts, and ALN/CDFA numbers. Additionally, Organization Admins can assign these awards to users, enabling budget allocation and track expenses within the platform. This functionality streamlines the process of award creation and assignment, making it easier for organizations to manage their awards and for administrators to manage the organization and their grants and awards.

Make Transactions

Allows users to manage grant award transactions, withdraw money from their allocated budget. Users can also make transactions automatically by uploading a CSV file. Additionally, users have multiple filters which will help them to filter out the transactions depending upon the dates and the budget categories. This feature will help the organization users to keep track of their award transactions and save time for making multiple transactions.

Report Generation

This functionality enables the users to generate different types of award reports. It has pre-defined templates and can create custom report templates as well. This functionality automates the process of generating the report and can save it for later use.
